Silicone Molding

NICE Rapid provides compression molding and LSR injection molding for silicone seals, gaskets, medical components, and flexible parts. Both processes are available with food-grade and medical-grade certifications and run in-house at our Shenzhen facility.

Compression molding suits flat and moderately complex geometries at lower tooling cost. LSR injection molding suits intricate parts requiring consistent quality, flash-free production, and biocompatible certification. Our engineers recommend the right process based on your part geometry, volume, and compliance requirements.

What Sets Us Apart

Precision Silicone Manufacturing

Two silicone molding processes in-house

compression molding and LSR injection — best process recommended for every part.

Medical & food-grade certifications

FDA 21 CFR and ISO 10993 compliant grades available for food-contact and implantable applications.

Wide shore hardness range

Shore A10 to A90 available across both processes — from ultra-soft seals to firm structural gaskets.

ISO 9001:2015 certified

shore hardness, dimensional, and visual inspection records provided on every production batch.

Our Silicone Molding Services

Compression Molding (HCR)

High-consistency silicone rubber (HCR) and other thermoset elastomers pressed in heated steel molds under hydraulic pressure. Lower tooling cost and shorter lead time. Suited to flat and moderately complex geometries — seals, gaskets, O-rings, keypads, and grommets.

LSR Injection Molding

Two-component liquid silicone rubber metered, mixed, and injected into a heated self-sealing mold. Fully automated flash-free production with consistent wall thickness and biocompatible certifications. Suited to complex, intricate parts — medical devices, wearables, precision seals, and consumer silicone products.

Our Process

STEP 1

Design Review

Submit CAD files in STEP, IGES, STL, or DXF format. Our engineers review for silicone-specific DFM: parting lines, draft angles, wall thickness, and gate location.

STEP 2

Process Selection

We recommend compression molding or LSR injection based on your part geometry, volume, tolerance requirements, and certification needs.

STEP 3

Tooling

Steel compression mold or self-sealing LSR mold CNC machined and trialed. First-article samples produced for your approval.

STEP 4

Material & Grade Selection

Silicone grade confirmed — general purpose, food-grade (FDA), medical-grade (ISO 10993), or specialty (self-lubricating, conductive, fluorosilicone).

STEP 5

Production

Parts produced to approved first-article standard. Shore hardness, dimensional, and visual inspection on every batch.

STEP 6

Post-Processing & Packing

Post-cure oven cycle for medical and food-grade parts. Deflashing, inspection, and clean-room packing available.
